The Executive Board is made up of the five elected officers, one appointed officer, and the seven chapter coordinators.

Chapter Coordinators are the contact people for negotiations issues and grievances for members of their chapter. They meet once a month with the Executive Committee to undertake the union’s business.

The Executive Committee consists of the Executive Board and elected delegates. Two (2) teacher delegates are elected from each school representing the teacher chapter and two (2) delegates at large are elected from each other chapter (Clerical, Custodian, ESP, Cafeteria). Each school is also entitled to (1) additional delegate (from any chapter) for every additional 15 members beyond the first 30 members in a building.
The role and responsibilities of the delegates are as follows:
Attend the June Executive Committee Meeting and subsequent monthly committee meetings.
Participate in an MTA delegates training.
Support members in understanding the grievance process and represent the union in meetings with the building principals or request that a NASE officer attend in their place.
Understand Weingarten rights.
Teacher building delegates will have these additional responsibilities:
Welcome new members to the building, help them to complete new member forms for the teacher chapter, and forward membership form to Teacher Chapter Coordinator for review.
Distribute mail to members, as needed.
The stipend for building delegates will be $250 per year, subject to accountability.
